The expression "Is it on the cards?" or "It's on the cards" means something is probable.

When we are speculating about the future we can use the "future simple" (Will) and speculation structures, e.g.:-

I think robots will be commonplace in companies in 30 years' time.

Maybe we won't drive cars in the future.

I'm not sure if we will be able to travel to space in the next century.
